Repairing a windshield chip is a simple process. Whether you are a DIY'er or a shop looking to add a valuable service to your customers - the Novus 15 Minute Windshield Repair Kit is the right choice.
- Put vehicle in a garage or shaded car port. If the windshield was in sunlight and has been moved into a garage or car port, let the windshield cool down for an hour before repairing.
- Gently Scrape over the chipped area with a razor blade to remove any loose glass fragments and wipe over area with a disposable dry towel.
- Dampen suction cup on bridge, align the injector hole with the center of the chip and push down, making sure suction cup is secured to glass. Screw leveling post clockwise until bridge body is parallel with glass.
- Screw the injector screw (Clockwise) into the injector housing until there is a 1/4” gap.
- Remove cap from Resin 1 and drop 5 drops into bottom of injector housing. Before inserting the injector into the bridge, unscrew the injector screw 1/4th turns to ensure a slight vacuum.
- Screw injector housing clockwise into bridge until injector touches glass. Then turn the bottom of the injector 1½ additional turns to firmly seat the injector gasket.
- Look through the back side of the windshield (inside vehicle) and make sure the injector gasket is evenly seated on glass.
- Holding the bottom part of the injector, turn the injector screw clockwise until you notice a little resin leaking out of the gasket.
