High-strength threadlockers are suitable for permanent assemblies using large fasteners. They require heat and a hand tool to release the bond and remove the fastener. These threadlockers are used in applications with more vibration such as in engines and machinery and are identified by the color red in their packaging and in their dispensed substance. A primer is required when applying to fasteners made of inactive metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and coated or plated metals. Conveniently packed for single use.
