More than 50 vehicle manufacturers spec CTEK chargers for their own dealer networks — smart, fully automatic battery chargers and maintainers that read the battery and adjust the charge curve instead of just pushing current at it.

The company was founded in 1997 in Vikmanshyttan, a small village in Dalarna, Sweden, by inventor Bengt Wahlqvist, who built the first electronic-pulse battery charger and what CTEK calls the world's first “smart” charger. Today CTEK sells more than a million chargers a year in 70 countries.
