A threadlocker is a low-viscosity adhesive that's applied to threaded fasteners, like bolts and nuts, to prevent them from loosening.

Threadlockers are commonly used to prevent loosening due to vibration, load, or corrosion. It creates a strong bond between opposing threads

Thread lockers are often used in place of or in addition to mechanical washers and fasteners. They have many applications, including: Automotive maintenance, Aerospace assemblies, Water pipeline assemblies, and Gas line assemblies.

Threadlockers come in different grades and formulations, such as low, medium, and high strengths. Many brands, including Loctite, use a color code to help distinguish between the different types.

Anti-seize is a substance that prevents seizing, corrosion, and galling, and lubricates metal parts, such as bolts, fasteners, and flanges. It can also help with disassembly. THere are different formulations of anti-sieze.

Copper-based: Protects metals from corrosion, rust, and seizure, and can withstand high temperatures. Copper-based anti-seizes are made with copper flakes, graphite, and other high-pressure additives.
Zinc-based: Protects iron-containing substrates from corrosion and rust.
Metal-free: Designed for use in environments with high humidity and salt.
Marine-grade: Designed for environments with high humidity, salt, and exposure to water spray.
Food-grade: Made with white oil and Extreme Pressure (EP) additives, and designed to prevent seizing, friction, and galling in stainless steel and other metal parts in food processing machinery.
Nickel-based: Protects metal fittings from corrosion, rust, galling, and seizure at temperatures up to 2600° F. Nickel-based anti-seizes are made with nickel and graphite.
Aluminium-based: Prevents rust and helps to stop seizure.
