What is Motul C4 Chain Lube, and what are its key features?

Motul C4 Chain Lube is a white-colored lubricant formulated for racing motorcycle chains. It is based on solid additives AW/EP (anti-wear and extreme pressure) to reduce rolling resistance, increase transmission efficiency, and maintain its lubricating properties under high temperatures. This formulation enhances chain lifespan and protects O-rings, X-rings, and Z-rings. Its white color facilitates easier application.

How should Motul C4 Chain Lube be applied?

To apply Motul C4 Chain Lube:

Preparation: Clean the chain thoroughly using Motul Chain Clean to remove old lubricant and contaminants.

Application: Shake the can well before use. Apply the lubricant to the entire length of the inner chain. The white color of the lubricant aids in even application.

Drying: Allow the lubricant to adhere completely by letting it dry for about 10 minutes before riding.

Can Motul C4 Chain Lube be used on standard motorcycles, or is it only for racing?

While Motul C4 Chain Lube is specifically developed for racing motorcycles, it can also be used on standard motorcycles. Its high-performance formulation provides excellent lubrication and protection for all types of chains, including those with O-rings, X-rings, and Z-rings. However, due to its sticky nature, it is recommended primarily for road use.
