Red Line ® Euro Series 5W40 is a fully-synthetic motor oil which has been optimized for the extended drain intervals and fuel economy of the latest European gasoline and diesel engines. Includes the appropriate levels of anti-wear additives and low ash content to ensure compatibility with the latest diesel particulate filters and emissions equipment. Specially formulated for high-mileage vehicle owners, hotter climates, and for BMW and Mercedes-Benz customers with turbo diesel requirements. Also popular in Sprinter vans and BMW 3-Series diesel performance applications. The ester-based formula is an upgrade over base stocks of other motor oils for these vehicles that provides additional protection against wear and instability at high temps. Recommended for ACEA C2/C3, BMW Longlife-04, MB 229.31/229.51, VW 502.00/505.00/505.01 and GM dexos2 ® vehicles.
