Rust-Oleum Marine Spar Varnish Common Questions

How long does it take for Rust-Oleum Marine Spar Varnish to dry?

Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 60° and 90°F and humidity is between 30% and 70%. At 50% relative humidity and 70°F, Spar-Marine Varnish will dry to touch in 4 to 6 hours. Under ideal drying conditions, allow 8 to 16 hours before recoating. Overnight drying is recommended.

How many coats should be applied?

A minimum of three coats is recommended. Allow the finish to dry 24 hours before light use. Wait 3 days before subjecting the surface to normal usage.
