Orthene Chemicals was founded in the mid-1970s by chemical engineer Alan Ker, who started out recycling brake fluid in a garage and built that into the industry's first high-quality private-label brake fluid supplier. In 2016, his grandson Lloyd Ker launched Halo as Orthene's own direct-to-consumer brand, giving professional racing teams a way to buy the same chemistry directly instead of only through a private label.
