AP Racing Radi-CAL brake caliper

AP Racing

Few names carry as much weight in a paddock as AP Racing — motorsport's most decorated braking and clutch suppliers, with more than 750 Grand Prix wins and the Radi-CAL caliper technology that's become a benchmark across racing series. Its DOT 3 and DOT 4 racing brake fluids carry that same reputation into the pit lane, built for teams that need a fluid that won't fade after three hard sessions in a row.

The company got there from an unlikely starting point: 1920s London, importing parts to keep ex-military vehicles running as civilian cars. Founders Edward Boughton, Willie Emmott, and Denis Brock licensed Lockheed's hydraulic braking system in 1928, and by 1938 an AP Lockheed-braked Auto Union had already won the British Grand Prix — the first of many.

Fluid this specialized is only useful if it's actually on the shelf when a team needs it, which is where Bulk55 fits in. Racing programs don't want to manage a direct account for a few cases a season, and AP Racing doesn't want its distribution stretched thin chasing small orders — Bulk55's bulk model splits the difference, holding case inventory so shops and teams can order what they need on their own schedule, without either side carrying that overhead.

We stock AP Racing brake fluid in case quantities, including the AP600 (Radi-CAL R2) and AP551 (Radi-CAL R1) fluids. Browse the full AP Racing lineup here.
